In Week 4 of our series Glow in the Dark, we looked at how Jesus showed love to others even when he was on the cross.  This week, our kids read in Luke 23:32-49 about how Jesus treated two criminals with love even as he died on the cross.

We read Psalm 31:9-16.  It begins with talking about being sad, feeling alone, and being in physical pain.   We have all felth these emotions before.  Jesus even felt these emotions.  But then in verse 14, the writer switches gears and says, "But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.  Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love."  He knows that God is listening and God hears our cries!
